Country rock artist David Michael has all the elements, tools and talent to be the next big country music phenomenon. He has a unique sound, unsurpassed talent and an unmatched stage presence that has dominated and electrified Saloons and Taverns all over the country.
David was born and raised in the Carolinas. Growing up on the back dirt roads and fields of Concord, NC has kept David grounded, humbled and genuine. David Michael has been performing live and writing music since he was seventeen years old.
David’s remarkable and creative talent has allowed him to perform a variety of music styles over the span of his music career. While touring the east coast, David realized that his definitive sound is a product of his country roots. He says, “I remember when I was young and my parents were always listening to Hank Jr., George Strait and George Jones early Saturday mornings on the radio. I didn't know it then, but they were my first and major influences in music.” Those are some great memories!” David Michael then realized who he was and why he was brought into this world; to sing, write music and perform for anyone who appreciates and enjoys his authentic energy and sound. Anyone who has seen David perform live and listened to the message in his music agree that: “this man sings from the heart and can relate to everyday people so well, it is almost as if he is connected with everyone in the crowd.”
Realizing his talent and ability to connect with his audience, David traveled to Nashville, TN in 2006. While in Nashville, David played at local bars, such as: The Bluebird Café, Tootsies and 12th and Porter, where he showcased with The Billy Block Radio Show. He was immediately accepted with great fanfare.
David Michael has formed and crafted his sound into a unique blend of country and rock and is a full-time entertainer paying his dues and paving his way in the music industry.
Last year alone, David performed an astounding 192 shows in saloons across the United States, including a 6 week tour in New Mexico, Colorado, Wyoming and Montana.
During the past four years, David has perfected his sound and had his music critiqued by hit song-writers such as Austin Roberts, Mark Sanders, and Charlie Craig who have had multiple hits with Kenny Chesney, Reba, Jack Ingram and Tim McGraw. David Michael has opened shows with Jason Aldean, Bridgette Tatum, Cowboy Troy and James Otto to name a few.
David is now re-mastering his debut album ‘Better Days’ in Nashville, TN and he is collaborating with major producers and songwriters while his new release is in production.
