David Michael's Biography

David Michael is a singer/songwriter raised in Concord, NC, he has always dreamed of being a performer. At age 13, David began writing and singing his own songs. He was honoring his craft, and at age 18, was touring the southeastern United States with his rock band, opening for national acts, such as WARRANT, Molly Hatchet, and Queensryche.

David looks forward to writing and co-writing more original songs while performing all over the country. David Michael has just returned from touring, and visiting several States in the western part of the country. He has also performed in many of the Charlotte, NC and Nashville, TN areas local night spots, including the Famous Bluebird Café, Tootsies, Beantown, Whiskey River, Johhny and June's and he showcased at 12th and Porter. His sound is reminiscent of today’s hot country acts, like Jason Aldean and Dierks Bentley. He covers many of the radio’s popular hit songs as well as performing original hits.

David Michael has been honored with several accomplishments including winning the 2009 Kat Kountry, Miller Lite ® contest with his song "Carolina Good Times", an original song that came in #1 on the internet charts. Mark Gray (Promotions Manager) of Kat Kountry 96.9 FM ® has said that David Michael is the “next big thing.” In May of 2009 David Michael opened up for Jason Aldean at the Food Lion’s Speed Street 2009, where Bridget Tatum, songwriter of Aldean’s hit “She’s Country”, said “David Michael puts on a great show, keep up the good work!” David Michael and his band continue to dominate the country and local establishments with their unique sound and style. His debut album is slated for release early 2010.
